Often inaccessible, full of imagery and conflicting memories, places of justice are still largely unknown despite the fact that they are deeply rooted in local communities. HUGO is a freely accessible online service dedicated to shared knowledge of judicial heritage. Designed on a participatory basis, this service offers everyone the opportunity to contribute to data collection subject to acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
How to contribute :
1) If you are an individual, researcher, student or simply interested in this topic
You can contribute in two ways:
- Adding information to an existing place: this is preferable if you have very little information or if you would like to add information about a place of justice or punishment that is already in the database.
- Creation of a new place of justice: allows you to enter all the information about a place of justice or sentence that is not in the database.
2) If you are an institution (archive centres, libraries, etc.)
We invite you to contact us to discuss the terms and conditions of the partnership that we could establish.
3) You are a company
Please do not hesitate to contact us for any information if you are considering supporting the HUGO project as part of your corporate sponsorship.
